Deborah and Kay have been close friends since they where three and four years old respectively, it is fair to say that they were closer than  sisters would have been. Even when Deborah married, and moved to America for six years, they contacted each other on almost a weekly basis.
Both shared an interest  in Victorian costume from a very early age, and established private collections, and both obtained degrees in Australian history.
About  the year 2002 Deborah was diagnosed with breast cancer, and sadly she died just a few days short of her forty seventh birthday. She is sadly missed by all who were privileged to know her, in particular her husband Bob, and their three year old son James.
Deborah bequeathed most of her collection of gowns, accessories, books, and fashion plates to Kay. This section of the Web site is intended to be a tribute to Deborah a delightful lady who had skills in history, art,  needlework, homemaking ,and living in general.

All garments shown in the following pages are reproductions researched and manufactured by Deborah.
